Oregon’s film and video industry leaders expect the sector’s 2012 performance to surpass record spending set in 2011.
The final count isn’t in, but the state should beat the $130 million in spending collected from film, television and media companies a year ago, according to Gordon Sondland, chairman of the Governor’s Film and Video Board. Sondland made the revelation at Tuesday’s annual Oregon Film and Video meeting at Portland State University.
Sondland added that 900 full-time workers were employed by the television productions of “Grimm,” “Leverage” and “Portlandia.”
